Hello, I have a 25' DVSC with twins F150's, I am currently running the stock black stainless steel props. Does anyone know or has anyone changed props on a simalar set-up, I would like to gain some fuel effeciency and maybe speed if possible. Hole-shot is not my biggest concern, although I don't want over burden the engines either.

hey there,

i purchased (used) a 2005 2530 with twin 150 yammies (in 2006) and the guy i bought the boat from was an older gent that was an engine specialist for mercedes benz for 40 years plus... anyway when i bought the boat i commented that it had merc props....he said he did some calculations and that was the best prop for my boat. i don't recall the size and pitch but i will check and get back to you. i have been using the same set up since june '06 with no problems although i have nothing else to compare it too either.....he did say he had some cavitation issues(which i definetly have not had) but struck me as the type of guy that was anal about the power train preformance knowing his background.

Thanks, that is exactly the type of info I am looking for. Right now, I probably average around 1.6 to 1.7 GPM fuel burn, and at 4500 RPM's I am cruising about 30 MPH. I would like to increase fuel efficiency, I have heard that those Merc props are more speed oriented, which would increase my fuel efficiancy by going faster at lower RPM's.
