Hello All!

I hope everyone is having a good season so far. We are just recommisioning our 2320 after our first season with her last year. After snooping around under the motor cover I realize I have some questions and need some parts identified. Maybe you could help! (please bear with me. I grew up with an I/O and this is my first outboard!)

Yamaha F225TXR four stroke manufactured in 2006.

1st pic- is this another fuel filter? small blue cylinder
2nd pic- Part is for the cowl latch, why is there a vacuum or fuel line running to it?
3rd pic- upper right- is that a fogging port? lower left- flat black rubber cover- anode inside?
4th pic- black box on bottom- fuel pump?
5th pic-this is a fuel filter- just a spin on? can the element be cleaned or need to be replaced? Is the white part an inline check valve?
6th pic- Loose vacuum hose- do not see where it would go but has imprints of a ziptie on end.

I have a Seloc manual. Only so much help there.

Thank you for any help in advance.
Jake

I HAVE A YAMAHA 225TXRD 2005
pic one is a FUEL FILTER for the VAPOR CANISTER its 40 bucks
pic two good question
pic three i think is to relieve the fuel pressure, when disconnecting fuel lines, looks like a car tire stem
pic four is the vapor canister that the fuel filter in pic one goes to.
pic five is the fuel filter to the motor. you should also have another one right after the fuel tank usually in the bilge area. make sure you get the filter and the two O rings its 24 bucks at simyamaha.com
pic six looks like a vacuum hose, its there for a reason try and locate where it goes.
hope this helps.

Could be something like a PCV valve that just so happens to also be where the cowl latches.

Other vac lines are similar to cars, for emissions, to contain crankcase emmissions. Loose one could be a drain line if coming down from the airbox/silencer.

Seloc manuals are CRAP ... put it in the head and use a page or two when you need to take one ;) ... They contain only enough info to get you INTO trouble, not out of it.
