    Lobstering setup options

Hi all. Picked up some used pots and a recreational license and are going to get me some lobsters this summer. Thing is, with 36" traps, I just asking to mark up my new hull. Anyone one have recommendations. Don't want to break the bank at this point as I only have 10 pots and will likely...

New (to me) Parker 1801 in NorCal

My sister-in-law lives in Morgan Hill - that's why I recalled that view. I totally hear you about the rat race, though. In fact, that's why we moved back to MA. We did it when the boys were entering Middle and High School, and if it matters, haven't regreted it for a second - and neither to...

New (to me) Parker 1801 in NorCal

Congats, Alex! Great boat, nice ride, and even better views! Lived in SJ for ten years and miss the place. By the look of the hills, my guess is that you are down off Old Almaden?

Software to reduce pic file size

Ok, here is my suggestion for Win7. But let me add that these other ones are equally valid too : ) 1-Open your oversized image in Paint. 2-Resave it under a different name (so you keep the original) 3-Select Resize from the Home tab. 4-Select you desired size 5-Hit Save Now, go post some...

Software to reduce pic file size

Yes : ) The Paint application will do this for you. What version of Windows are you running? (how you do this will depend on your OS). And for future reader's sake, with a Mac, you can open the image in Preview and then reduce to the desired size with Tools/Adjust Size. m

Are you a PC or Mac person? Both have free options for this already running on your computer. Mark

    Gear

Greeting all. I am bumping the conversation to see if these recommendations are the same after the intervening years. I am in the market for four rod/read combos (two for rail fishing on two for trolling). These will be for novices, but want to invest into something that will last. Thanks! Mark

Thanks for the info/suggestions, Kevin (and others). How often would you suggest waxing? Will once a year be sufficient?

    Upgrades, Mods, and Accessories 101

Hi all. New Parker owner here. I have a slew of questions for ya'll, but will start with some easy ones. I have a 2120SL and was wondering if there were and standard or common recommendations for upgrades, mods, and accessories for a new owner. I haven't owned a boat since high school, so I...

Thanks! Yeah, I got the F200XB. Was thinking of the 150 & 175 too, but went to the 200 in the end. Out of curiosity (and lack of knowledge), why is a good waxing beneficial? Outside of looking good and keeping the hull clean, is there something specific to the darker gel-coat?
