    2120 vs 23 pilot house

I often fish on a friend's 2320 when I am not fishing on my own 2520. The 2120 is only offered with a notched transom, while the 2320 usually has a fully enclosed transom with a bracket. The difference in roominess and security in a following sea is very noticeable.

    Windlass

I am also interested in purchasing a windlass for my 2520. Can you recommend a dealer and give me a price range that you would consider reasonable.

Any NC Parker sharkers out there?

Hello Sharkman, I didn't see this post earlier because I don't usually hit the fishing forum on this site. I own a 1996 2520 and fish some of the same waters as you do. I keep the boat on a cradle @ Harker's Island and fish both sides of the shoals out to about 30 miles. I and my fishing...

Bad Gas Mystery in my 1995 Parker

I don't know if I would go through the expense of replacing the tank and decking without doing some additional troubleshooting. Your tank MAY be at the end of it's life or it may not be. You said that there was no gas or water in the bilge. This leads me to believe that there might be a...

    Parker launching via forklift

My 2520 goes in & out like that every time I go fishing. Never a scratch put on her by Capt. Sandy, the fork lift operator & boat wrangler at Harker's Island . :) I don't know where those skills come from but I sure didn't receive them when I took the mandatory company required fork lift...

2003 parker 2520 XL performance numbers?

That speed does seem a little slow. I have a 1996 2520 with the original Mercury 225 two stroke. On a fairly calm day it cruises at 24 statute mph @ 4200 rpm. At that speed and rpm the lush sucks down 16 gph. That's the most economical cruise that I have been able to attain. Add some rough...

    Horns on Pilot House

Yeah, they can be a PITA but those dual trumpets sure sound great when they work. :D I replaced the non-functioning ones with some that I bought from Amazon for under $100 and they are still working after two years of use. They were an exact replacement fit that didn't require any new holes...

    End of season Questions

school skipper, Both batteries do NOT get charged together unless you have the three position switch turned to the BOTH position. I rarely use this position but alternate between one battery and the other. Doing things this way always leaves me with a fully charged battery if have a problem...

    Buying a Parker tips

GET A SURVEY! If you find a boat you are really interested in purchasing, then get a survey done before you make a commitment. The peace of mind alone is worth the few hundred dollars you will spend on the survey. Most boat purchasers have no idea how to properly inspect a vessel. I have...

    Windshield wipers

I use the same things. The arm is a standard bayonet mount and will accept any wipers that are designed to snap on. Just get the proper length wipers and you are in business. :D

    Second station ignition wiring?

I would also like to know how to wire my second station. I have a 1996 2520 with a factory installed second station. The station only has steering and dual lever throttle/transmission controls but no ignition controls. I have a 1996 Mercury outboard if that matters. We do a lot of drift...

Advice on upgrading from 2120 to 2320

sydngoose hit the nail on the head! If you have a capable vehicle AND you are comfortable towing that much boat, then go for it. I have to admit that I'm an old geezer who doesn't really feel comfortable towing that much boat, and who doesn't want to invest in a vehicle that would only be...

Advice on upgrading from 2120 to 2320

The 2320 is a much more trailerable boat. I have the 2520 and I do love the boat. I trail it annually to and from my home in Otway, NC during the winter to it's home at Harker's Island during the fishing season. That's a grand total of twenty miles trailering per year. It is trailerable, but...

    2002 Parker 2310 - Pre-Purchase Questions

ALWAYS have a survey done on a major purchase! What you don't know CAN hurt you! A few hundred spent on a survey can save you thousands. It can also be a good bargaining chip if minor repairs are needed. If all is well, then the money spent is well worth the peace of mind :D

25' Captain's Chair vs. Bench, other newb questions

The 2530 has the extended cabin. The 2520 models, both the XL and XLD have the same cabins. The newer XL models are set up for a single engine and have a modified V hull with a 16 degree deadrise. The XLD models have a deep V hull with a 21 degree deadrise and are set up for duals. Some of...

    1997 Parker 2520

I am the proud owner of a 1996 2520 and I really enjoy the boat. I would love to repower it with a new 4 stroke, but the old lush Merc just keeps chugging along. I would highly recommend getting a survey done on any used boat that you plan on purchasing. The investment of a few hundred for...

    2nd station install?

I own a 2520 with a second station and I would have a hard time maneuvering the boat into a slip or trolling without it. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I would have a hard time living without it. For the price difference I would take the 2014 and have the station retrofitted.

New Parker 2320 vs. Used 2520 vs. Eastern 248 or 27?

I am the owner of a 2520 with a Mod V hull and I really love the boat. It is the largest Parker boat that can be comfortably be pushed at a reasonable speed with a single outboard. I am a recent retiree and reside in NC. I now fish the Atlantic out of Morehead City, but I lived in Maryland and...

    2014 2120 sc enclosed transom?

I came very close to buying a 2120 a few years ago, but I really wanted a full transom boat with a bracket. When I took a tour of the Parker factory a little while back I asked Robin why Parker didn't offer the 2120 with this configuration. She told me that I was not even close to being the...
