LMFAO HOW NOT TO REMOVE A HOOK !!!

Wow, I really didn't see that coming. Especially not when he asked his buddy if he was getting all this! Pliers? Removal tool? Yup, that guy was a (removal) tool.

Motor Quits when Trim Switch is Used...

Thanks all. I'm going to get to the boat ASAP and check the connections and the condition of the cables. Probably get a new battery or two as well!

Motor Quits when Trim Switch is Used...

Well, the subject outlined the original problem. The battery switch was on both, I was idling out of the marina when I tried to trim the engine down. Everything quit as soon as I hit the switch. Later, I got the engine to refire with #1 batt because #2 would not crank the engine. But the...

    Ocean County Area NJ....

Well, I'm still waiting on my marina for service on the boat before I can splash her. I'm dying up here and jealous of you guys who have been fishing. Are we doing a landlubber meeting or a raft-up? Let's firm this thing up.

    Battery question

I have 2 optima blue tops and I haven't had any problems with one, but the other extremely weak- and only 1 year old. There's a lot of info out there about these. Interesting fact- though it's a 12v, rested charge should be 13.1v registered on a voltmeter. 12.8v is weak and much less than...

    backing up with a bracket...??

You might also notice that even when trimmed up, the boat doesn't want to back and turn in one direction and it will do it nicely in the other direction. Take some time to figure that out in an open area by backing toward a flexible day marker (where I boat, there are a lot of them- just cedar...

    wasn't planned winter project

Wow, hope you know a good fiberglass guy. Looks like you got a nice bruise in your gel coat. Heal up and go get 'em.

When and where? My boat's in Chadwick. I'm based up north, but have a place in Lavallette.

    berkely gulp ????

They just introduced "belly strips" in various colors. I got them in white and charteuse, 7". I haven't had a chance to try them, but I look forward to it. I use the 3" chartreuse curly tails when I fish for fluke from my kayak. Beats trying to use live bait and I do pretty well.

    berkely gulp ????

3 or 4 inch chartreuse grub on a jig head is a killer fluke inshore fluke rig where I fish. Often I go out in August for fluke off the beach in a kayak rather than take the Parker out. Gulp! is the way to go.

25.20 Mod V In a hard Head Sea

Barnegat, huh? Me too. I say speed up and skim over that stuff! Just kidding. Our bay gets nasty and all we can do is slow down, trim down and deal. I run a 2520 XL and it's always a slog to get home when the wind kicks up.

    I'm not selling anything, but...

Does anybody recognize that transom in the commercial? https://www.buywaterjet.com/?s_kwcid=TC ... 5Qodn3lx1w Does Parker get a cut of the sales?

    Bad boat names

Just saw a CMT show- their version of MTV's Cribs. Kurt Busch was on and his boat is named the "Wet Spot". Come on, we all know that nobody wants to get stuck on the wet spot!

    Morse control problem

I had the same problem on mine only in reverse. The second station would bind. My problem was simple- there was a screw on the side of the control, just about directly beneath the shift lever that had backed out a bit. As a result, the movement of the lever was impeded. (I really don't know...

    Break-Away Anchor Rigging

Rather than rig with a cable tie, I use a length of the wire from an old 5-gallon bucket handle. Once through the chain with a twist to make it "permanent" on the chain so when it pops off the anchor I can still retain it on the chain, and then through the anchor with two twists to hold the...
