It was kinda sad to see her go. Looks like I'm under agreement for a new (to me) ride, which I will simply say is another very reputable North Carolina builder--this way I'm at least keeping it in the same neighborhood. :)

    Losing a member

After close to ten years of continuous Parker ownership, I am signing the papers tonight to sell my 21dvcc and I do not have a repalcement as of yet. Given the amount of used boats on the market right now it seems like a good time to move up. Unfortunately, it does not look like there is...

    Telescoping outrigger advice

I've been running 15' tacos for a couple seasons on my 21dvcc. If you seach under my name there are a few pictures on here of the mount/weld job and how they look fully rigged. They have worked fine for me and I can regularly troll four squidbars off them double rigged. They make some type of...

flushmounting electronics inside overhead elec. box?

Thanks, I did get and install a lock last year from perko (good thing too, as my neighbor got his boat raided at the end of last season). I have the old console with no electronics cabinet--I wish I did as that would really sove my problem, but I think it would be too tough to swap out with the...

flushmounting electronics inside overhead elec. box?

I'm trying to get some ideas for flushmounting my fishfinder and vhf in my overhead electronics box to give it a cleaner look and keep them from getting jostled around so much. The catch is I want to continue to have easy access to the rear plugs and fises without cutting an access hatch to the...

    2100CC DV

Hey, I have not been around for a little while (it's beer brewing season, not boating). Your first question is a good one and I have some concerns about it myself since I will need to repower someday. I have a '96 Johnson Oceanrunner. I have two batteries in the starboard battery box and with...

    Outrigger question

http://www.classicparker.com/phpBB2/vie ... highlight= I ended up getting backing plates welded onto the frame. You definitely want to provide some type of backing support.

The 2007 boat lineup has been posted!

Wow, I'm impressed they brought the 21dvcc back. I will be VERY interested to see if they modified the boat at all to accomodate the new heavier engines....

    New (to me) 23DVCC

Welcome aboard and nice ride. The 23dvcc with a full transom will be on my short list when I trade up from the 21dvcc. Oh and Dale, there has been a perfectly respectable afternoon tuna bite out there as well....feel free to email me.

Advice for outriggers on a 23SE

I believe he was able to add them by just loosening the bolts and raising the top in teh corners rather than taking the whole thing off. i also had him add some wider wire runs from the electronic box to the console to accomodate the furuno transducer cable. by the way, I am now seeing red x's...

    Leaf Spring Help ASAP !!!!

If you need a second opinion for any reason, Drinkwater trailers in Pembroke is very good--I ahd them do some work on my old Caulkins for my 18 and was very happy, including replacing the leaf springs...

Advice for outriggers on a 23SE

Matt, I just went through this on my 21dvcc and I went with the 15' taco grand slams. I contacted parker re: their hard tops and they could not tell me if they were cored etc. as they outsource the hardtop production, so I had plates welded on. It was not cheap but I did the shakedown with...

1800 owners... how fast is your ride?

hey Sam, As I recall, my 18 with a 90 suzi two stroke used to do 28 knts, or about 32 mph, and with a suzi 115 fourstroke it went up to somewhere between 32-36 knots, which was just under 40 mph. This was the old 18 with the 40 gallon tank. Sounds a bit slow--what is the max pm for that engine?

    Yamaha or Suzuki

I had a suzuki 115 fourstroke on my old 18 and it was hands down the best engine I have ever owned. If I could afford it I'd swap out the 200 johnson two stroke on my 21 with a suzuki tomorrow That being said, I also have an awesome suzuki mechanic 8 miles from my house...

    Parker 1801- Rigged and Ready!

I thought that rod holder set up looked familiar :D Great looking rig. Glad you finally scored one--you will be very happy. Some of my best days ever in my old 18 were floating around the Vineyard and middleground. Jeff

    replacing steering wheel

well, it only took three weekends worth of effort, but my wheel is finally off. I snapped a steel prybar trying to get it off, tried the rubber mallet and pull method, tried a little propane, but eventually had to plunk down $20 for teh gear puller, which worked in about two minutes. Then, I...

    replacing steering wheel

How does the wheel puller work (if it is easily explainable)? Thanks, jeff

    replacing steering wheel

Thanks Dale--I'll give that a go. Should I be concerned about damaging the hydraulic system at all?
