    Parker 25 DV vs. MV

OK, 2510WA in the deep V flavor. Are the twin 150s enough power with 4 adults & gear on board. Also, what would be a fair price on a new boat. I realize the DV is more $ & the twin setup adds to the cost as well.

    Parker 25 DV vs. MV

I'll be running between Narragansett Bay, Buzzards Bay & Block Island. A lot of chop in this area. If the MV rolls much less at troll, then its my ticket. I don't mind slowing down a little if necessary. Thanks for the info.

    Parker 25 DV vs. MV

Is there a significant difference in ride between the Deep V & mid V? Does the Deep V roll a lot more at drift? appreciate your thoughts. I'm looking at the 2510 & will stick with the MV unless the difference in ride is significant. Matt

    advice -- 23 w/a vs 23 sportcabin

My major problem with the pilot house is a lack of headroom. Sometimes being tall has its drawbacks. Not sure about the 23, but the 25WA has plenty of headroom & also didn't stick an overhead console at forehead level like a lot of the other WAs.

    Plastic Thru Hulls

Personally, I don't mind some off-topic posts - all good info, though it would be easier to search on a separate "projects" post also. Thanks all who responded. Based on responses I probably will not be rushing to replace any thru hulls immediately after purchase.

    How Slow?

How slow can the 2510MV (16 degree deadrise) efficiently stay on plane in significant seas with good use of the tabs? Looking at it, my guess is much slower than the 25 Grady. Am I correct? Will a single 250 or twin 150s make any difference? Thanks again for helping me with my shopping!

    Plastic Thru Hulls

Are the plastuc thru hulls used in the newer Parkers a problem? If so, do you replace them 5 years (for example) down the line, immediately, or when they start showing signs of cracking? I'm looking at the 25' walkaraound.

    Boatless In Rhode Island

Thanks Pat. Glad to hear good reports about Don's Marine. I've already been talking to them. I demoed a Parker 2320 down at Boat's Inc. also. Great shop down there, but I'll deal mwith Don's due to their close proximity even if it ends up costing me a little extra.

    Boatless In Rhode Island

Looks like a great deal, but I really would like to get into newer engines.

    Boatless In Rhode Island

Dale - Thanks for getting my account set up! I'm boatshopping now with plans to get on the water next year. Until then my 14` rowing dory is going to have to make due! My current favorite is a 26' General Marine Downeast Sedan, but at $115K, it is probably beyond my reach. Otherwise, I...
