    New old stock outboards

Not sure if you'd save much going that route. A Yamaha F150 only went up $1,180 from 2021 to 2024. Then again, a dealer may be motivated to move an old motor but the COVID shortages will have all but wiped out the potential of leftovers out there.

    18 SE vs 1801 cc

Or the opposite. As a fan of the 1801, I don't see the new boat as Parker's demise. You're a bit dramatic.

    18 SE vs 1801 cc

They're still staying pretty no nonsense. New 18SE switched to no-wood, new hull with two strakes (hoping it's dryer now), inner liner, deeper gunwales, larger storage box in the bow and a higher console. It's less roomy now but a lot of improvements otherwise.

    Windlass Identification and Assistance

I also found that same windlass you have on AliExpress. So it's a Lewmar knockoff.

    Windlass Identification and Assistance

There is a circuit breaker for the windlass back near the battery switch. This is probably tripped into the "off" position. Try resetting it. It's there to trip when overloaded but also to disable the windlass to prevent accidental deployment when not being used. It exhibits the exact symptoms...

    21se deck

I think the splashwell came after 2014. It is now optional but wasn't for quite awhile.

    Parker 2520 XLD repower

The Yamaha F300 is a dog on the 2520XLD so I don't hold out much hope for the Zuke. You're dropping power, torque, two cylinders and prop diameter vs, what you have now. I suspect you'll be disappointed with anything more than just a captain and 1/2 tank of fuel. And it'll be really bad in a...

    Good Engine Matchups

I agree completely that you need more power, not less. These are not speed boats but you need a proper holeshot for takeoff, heavy loads and following sea handling. But it must be noted that just about every manufacturer offers minimum powering options. It should not be construed negatively on...

    parker 2520 dv and xld

The DV model predated the XL/XLD and SL/SLD series models. The DV became the SLD a couple years after the XL series was introduced when the seating was reconfigured, adding a portside bench seat for up to three people. DV - 21 degree deadrise and seating for 2 in cabin. Notch or bracket. SLD -...

    parker 2520 dv and xld

Sorry. To clarify, the EC is not a model being discussed by the OP.

    parker 2520 dv and xld

The cabin on the XL/XLD is longer than that of the DV. The XL and XLD share the same "X"tra long cabin that offers additional seating bringing the total seating to four people vs. two on the DV. The EC (Extended Cabin) is another model entirely and is not being discussed here.

    parker 2520 dv and xld

Here's the test for the 2520XLD with the F300. The 2520DV was discontinued before the F300 came out so it'll be near to impossible to find that info. Considering the weight increase with the 2520XLD, you should see better than these numbers: http://parkerboats.net/wp-content/uploa ... 00-UCA.pdf

    parker 2520 dv and xld

The hulls for the DV and XLD are the same 21 degree deadrise bottoms. The DV has a shorter cabin with seating only for a pilot and passenger. The XLD's longer cabin includes two inward facing jump seats behind the pilot chairs for seating for four. The DV was available as either a notch...

    New owner

There are 3 fittings on the port side. Furthest forward is the vent for the deck pumpout for the head, mid ships is the vent for the fuel fill and aft is the bilge discharge. Hope this helps.

Parker 2320 fuel tank size changed

According to Parker, the tanks capacity has been reduced due to new EPA and Coast Guard mandated fuel tank requirements concerning fuel tank emissions and discharge. The actual fuel tank dimensions do not change but because of design changes within the tank the fuel tank holding capacities are less.
