for me the best way to eat Bluefish is smoked, and on a Ritz cracker with your favorite beverage

Havent been able to ever get it past my nose. Shark bait thats aboutnall there good for

I don't eat them.
It's fun C&R for me!

Down here we call them Chesapeake piranha. :)

Take a whole bluefish, nail it to a hickory plank.

Set the plank over a campfire with the fish towards the heat but not in the flame.

After about 1/2 and hour remove fish, set it aside and eat the plank.

Tastes just like chicken.

Buefish suck, but if you are going to eat them, smaller the better.

We use them for shark bait. Live preferably.

When there's nothing else to catch, or there's a sh#t ton of blues around, they can be a blast, especially on light tackle. Plus, you can use all those crappy fish/boatshow lures that won't catch anything else. Blues tear them up something fierce.

I use Bounders to catch them. Nothing else is dumb enough to hit them, but the blues love 'em.

We also use them for tuna bait, live (of course).
