New Parker owner, have a house in Pine Knoll Shores, NC.
Bought a 2000 1801, with a Yamaha 115. Motor has a couple of scored cylinders, so I am looking to repower. Tom provided me with this link, which seems to be all the 1800/1801 repower threads:

Not much update in the last few years, so I guess everyone's motors are hanging in there. A lot of new technology. I was looking at anything from 90hp 2 stroke to 130hp 2 stroke, and F115 4 strokes. How have the older F115's held up, assuming most pre 2004-2005 were carbed, and after that injected. Local marine mechanic is warning me away from early carbed 4 strokes. I have never owned anything but 2 smokes.
After reading the link above, I am also considering a 150. Has anyone run the V4 130, and with what results?
Thanks.

I'm sure some of you got tired of seeing my CL ad, 'Looking For Yamaha 90-150', but I finally ended up with a 2012 F115, with 349 hours, so I am hoping for the best.
Have only had it in the water once, but it was too cold and windy for anything other than just to get it up on plane for a mile or so. The prop off the old 2 stroke turned 5900, but the speeds seemed a little slow on the one run.

Light load, two people, engine in 2nd hole. Parker is recommending the 13 X 19 black SS prop. What are others running on the 1801/F115 combo?
If anyone in the MHC has a prop I can test, I would appreciate it.

I also have a set of 18 X 9 Bennett tabs in the garage. There is plenty of space on the transom, any reason not to install that wide of a tab? They are the older, flat style, not the sport tabs.
