Hi,

I have 1801 and love it, but itching to move up so I can do more offshore. I'd really like to get opinions from west coast tuna guys or guys that go offshore on the east coast.

Do you really get THAT much better of a ride that justifies $10-20k investment in bigger boat?

Guys that have had 21 and 23SE, is the 23SE that much better a ride?

Appreciate any and all feedback.

Trying to figure out if I should stay with 1801 and upgrade some stuff or sell and get older, larger model.

I moved from the 1801 to the 23se.

Biggest improvement is the stability while drifting and ability for the boat to fly in seas <2ft.

The bigger stuff that is stacked up, you may find the 18 to sometimes be better in that it will fit in the trough better.

With all that being said you have more power, trim tabs, and a heavier boat.

Bigger is better.
