You will be very surprised at what that boat can handle given its size. I also fish off the NJ coast & have been in stuff I would have hated on my old 24’ boat, but felt perfectly safe in my 2006 1801. Just this fall I was coming in Longport inlet with 5-6’ rolling following sea, and while again I was impressed with the handling. You won’t break any speed records in these boats, but you will know you will get there & back safely.
Good luck & hope to see you out there this year. I fish the entire NJ coast.
Agreed but I have to add.......you'll get wet!

Welcome to the forums. Enjoy. Looking forward to your boat's arrival as well.

My 18 finally arrived May 12, and was on the water May 19 and am well pleased with my dealer and most of all the 1801cc, from H&S in Manahawkin N J
That's fantastic. Congratulations! How's sailing and fishing?

I have a 1994 1800CC … it’s a battle wagon… fish off NJ… and go 20-25 miles off beach…have been in following seas… head seas.. no problem…. Not a speed demon… but gets me there and back safely… good luck..
