We did a shakedown trip last weekend where we towed the Mokee Dugway to northern Lake Michigan and crossed Porte Des Mortes (Death's Door) in 4-6s and saw the Navy's new LCS1 - Freedom. She goes like a bat out of hell and sends up a huge rooster tail and a twelve foot wake.

We slipped two nites at SIM's on Washington Island and Andy replenished our supply of Yammalube 2M. Andy also sold us a replacement for the infamous Yamaha motor trim ring.

This PM the Mokee D and me are heading out to meet Jeffnick with his Striper, Nicky, at Oklahoma City, OK. Then its on to the Albuquerque, NM airport to pick up a boating buddy from South Carolina. The three of us and the boats and trailers head toward Bullfrog Basin where we'll splash on Lake Powell in southern Utah. The plan is to spend a few days on Lake Powell before dropping our boating buddy off at the Salt Lake city airport.

Then we'll motor on to a Anacortes, WA ramp to launch for a week of cruising around the San Juan Islands before trailering the boats to points south. If you all are interested in the trip, we'll keep you posted.
