I'm getting ready to install an 8' VHF antenna on top of my 2120. Is there possibly a thread that you guys are aware of that may have installation pictures, suggestions, etc.?

Thanks

Make sure you use the angled shim otherwise the antenna will lean if mounted on the port or starboard edge of the top.

FWIW Shakespeare sells a neat antenna mount "shim kit" that includes 2 to cover various angles, that would with typical SS ratchet lift&lay VHF antenna mounts.

If you don't have a hard top, here is how member Parkerman mounted his.

If you do have a hard top, you can mount it the same way we do on the sport cabins.

holes in the roof arent really any big deal. start drilling them now, then when you have to do other surgery later you'll be used to it :D i personally like keeping the railings clear for safety purposes, doesnt obstruct your ability to run your hand up the entire length of the rail or block you if you happen to try to grab the rail exactly at that point.
