My current prop is the stock Yamaha 14-1/2" x 19P black stainless.
Spoke to Ken at Propgods and narrowed it down to a couple of replacement options:
17P rev 4 ($479 + $35 hub kit)
or
17P quicksilver 3 blade ($379 + $35 hub kit)

Given that I spend a lot of time on Buzzards Bay, which can have a pretty good chop, I'm leaning towards the rev 4 as a 4 blade should handle the rough seas well and push the nose down a bit more.

I really don't have the time for any testing, so I'd love some insight here.

Thanks --

I just changed mine out with a 17pX15 3/4" and am finding that with the new bracket I put on I can get on plane faster and with minimum trim tab use. I had a 17pX14 1/4" and I did turn more RPM's (100 more) but it was a lot slower out of the hole. I like the fact that I don't have to use my tabs as much and I also find that I can trim out the engine and get more speed easier and faster. It is turning out to be kind of a game with me to see how fast I can get it going at 4000 rpm's.Just my .02cents
