Agreed. These kind of lights are not intended to be used for general navigation in moderate to heavy boat traffic. Ive had bow mounted spot lights before and I used them to confirm channel market locations.

Honestly, to my absolute surprise, the light I mounted is still working. I haven't had to change it out. I did add longer 6" brackets because I switched to a delta anchor after I lost my claw. Of course now that Ive said something, it probably won't work the next time out. LOL
