Cheaper ring free and yamaha oil filters

Getting low on ring free and oil filters so I searched the web and found cycleshops were selling ring free with the quarts anywhere from $36 to $40 or about what you would pay at a marine store. However it seems the pricing for the small bottles...3.2 oz are far cheaper per ounce.... 10, 3.2 oz bottles are $1.69 per bottle or $16.90 for the equivalent of a quart. The same shop had the Yamaha oil filters for $20 compared to $27 at the marine stories. I just ordered a batch from yamahasportsplaza.com. Thought I'd pass it along

I originally posted this thinking I found a cheap source for ring free. Well my order came today and the 3.2 ounce ring free bottles looked exactly like the quart bottle I still had..."Ring Free Plus Fuel Additive". For the heck of it I checked the small sticker on the back of the bottle and it said to use the entire 3.2 ounces per 5 gallons of gas. The quart bottle had the rate as 1 ounce per 10 gallons. I called Yamaha for an explanation and was told that the smaller bottles are diluted and that you needed to use 2 bottles to get the equivalent of what 1 ounce from the quarts provided. Talk about deceptive practices.

Early this spring I bought a case of pints which cost me 11.62 per pint. I think that was the best deal I could find. I looked at the price of pints in marine stores and most were 18-20 per pint so I did pretty good.

When I need Ringfree, I generally buy it by the case (in quarts) from SIM.
Next time I need some, I'll have to compare SIM and BOE Marine.

Lucky John... for what it is worth ring free only comes in quarts (32 oz), 12 oz, and 3.2 oz. bottles. It doesn't come in pint (16 oz ) bottles.
Yamaha customer relations got back to me and said they are going to relable the 3.2 oz bottles to reflect the dillution.
