cracks on deck

noted a half-dollar sized area of cracking on the deck with ever so slight a depression. What can cause such a soft spot and how do I repair it.In the photo it is in the center just above the dome sahped shadow

Hard to tell from that photo...
Does it look like something was mounted there before? Could that be a previous repair?

looks like somebody dropped something heavy..... maybe a weight for a drift sock/sea anchor? i hafe a couple of them and i try not to notice them :lol:
