Does 31 size battery fit ?

2005 2320 parker cabin- I have #27 batteries and want to upgrade to #31 batteries Deka 12-Volt 810-Amp Marine Battery
Item # 599945 Model # DC31DT. Seem the height and width will fit. The length is 13 inch in battery tray. Has anyone try to fit 31 size without replacing battery tray?

Group 27 and 29 are same footprint.

I just got back from west Marine to measure there 31 size battery. They say it’s 13 inches long but the bottom of battery is 121/2. I order one from Lowe’s witch is Deka battery. Penn battery makes Deka and west Marine. It’s all the same. The answer is - yes- 31 size battery will fit. If anyone looking to replace batteries- Lowe’s Deka has great price. They 24 size 1000 CCA marine battery $104 there 27 800 CCA $107 there 31 is $144 800 CCA with 105 amp - 120 minute. Free shipping to Lowe’s. Less 10 percent for vets.

That is correct. If you go on Veterans Day, it’s 15 off. Getting back to these marina batteries, I haven’t had one that last more then 2or 3 years. Let’s see if a 31 size will last longer. They are bigger- a lot higher. The 27 size is 81/2 high. The 31 is 101/2 high. Bigger is better!!
