I have a 2000 21se and a 2005 yamaha 225 4 stoke and was wondering does anyone else have this setup. I would love to know your top speed are and fuel stats. mine are as follows,

3000rpm 18mph

3500rpm 26mph

4100 rpm 30.5mph

4500rpm 33.7mph

5000 rpm 37mph

5500rpm 40 mph

5700rpm 41.5mph
note I have a 4blade power tec prop 16 pitch 15.25 size. I lost all my data for my fuel economy stats but I do remember that I was cruising at 3500 rpm at 25mph at 4.5 miles per gallon.
Thanks

that's weird. your numbers and mine are dead on and my boat is a 23 se with a f225 and a 17 Rev4.

I know for sure that my motor sits to low in the water, I can only move it up if I drill two new lower holes, due to the weird hole pattern Parker did on my 2000 year. Just don't know if its worth drilling more holes and plugging up others that are under the water line just to gain more speed and economy.

since you're out of hull warranty i would just put a jackplate on it with minimal offset. Maybe not even hydraulic, just manual. that way you won't have to drill new holes and you'll still be dial your setup in.

I know I'm not making an apples to apples comparison, but my 21 se had a 200 hp Yamaha Ox66 2 stroke, and the boat hit a top speed of 46-47 mph. That motor weighed in at 454 lbs, and I believe I was spinning a 17" prop.

4000 RPM's - 30 MPH
4500 RPM's - 35 MPH
5000 RPM's - 40 MPH

No T-Top, and running with less than a half a tank of fuel.

Looking on the Yamaha website, it states that your motor weighs in at 600 lbs.

wow good numbers thanks, just don't know if its worth opening new holes vs the gains, I also contacted Parker and they suggested that I don't add a jack plate because of the additional 3-4" set back and the heavier 225 4stroke engine.
I think when this engine blows I might go with the new 4cylinder 200 from yamaha.

I would think those numbers are pretty low. I get over 40mph with my f150.
