Eisenglass Enclosure Snaps

When removing the enclosure, a couple of the female portion of the snaps pulled from the windshield. Yes, I should have taken more time when removing it, but I didn't have any! This half of the snap is still attached to the curtains. Is there a procedure to replace the half attached to the windshield to freshen up the system, or will I need to live without those snaps attaching anymore?

The female side was attached to the windshield frame? Usually it’s the male side.

There’s lots of options on how to replace snaps. If you can take some pictures of exactly what you’re dealing with that would probably help.

Are they screwed in or riveted? Is there visible damage to the hole in the frame or did the snap come apart?

Hi Togntime, Help us understand the issue; it will help us, help you... I've had this type of 'male-snap' (Similar to the one (just the base) in your photo) on previous boats. (I think I have some in my Cinch-Fast Kit). They are simply pushed/snapped onto the frame. To remove them you pry/'de-spring' them back off.. You can also slide (tap lightly) to move them to line them up with the female end that is usually (always?!) on the canvas and/or isinglass. They come in a variety of STYLES and a variety of SIZES (see below). Post a photo with what you have and/or include The Exact Dimensions. There are a number of sources for Windshield Clips; here's just one. I'll edit and post more as I find them..... If you have a size that is not available commercially, I may have some in my Cinch-Fast Kit that I can mail you.
