Left for a 2 day trip with my girlfriend Patty armed with all the latest internet info. Well long story short we should have headed north instead of south and west instead northwest. We missed a couple of good snaps at the yellowfin by mere miles. We did manage 2 nice yellowfin off the Lower 500, all the mini yellowtail you wanted and some nice barracuda and bonito inside Colonet and the ever present skipjack throughout the 235 miles and 125 gallons burned. Good fishing by most standards but not what we were hoping for. Patty was bummed out that we didn’t come back with a boatload of tuna but even a couple of tough days of fishing couldn’t spoil this trip. Heading out with Roger and Junior this Wednesday. I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
