I previously posted the rough idle on my 2005 F150HP .Turns out the exhaust cover at the very base was leaking water and fumes. With the cowling off the idle was fine. With the cowling in place the engine would stall out because the engine would be sucking fumes and not air.
Looks like my engine has corrosion problems. Head gets pulled tomorrow and I'll get a better handle on the extent. A bummer despite the engine being flushed after every use.
May have to bite the bullet and go new.
