F150 temps and noise

Recent post on the subject (march 2010) suggests the F150's run 4/5 on the temp guage at 4k rpm +. Does anyone feel this should not be?

Also would it be normal for an F150 on a notched transom boat to be louder than an F225 on a euro boat? Buddies boat w/ f225 is considerably quieter than the F150 I recently sea trialed.

My one motor does, the port motor runs hotter than the starboard, when I first got the boat it concerned me, but after talking to the mechanics, they explained two complete different motors and thus the difference !
