F150 water pump???

Guys
Change out the water pump this w/e an all
seem to go well except this.When the foot went
back on I had it in foward gear There now appears to
a Kinda clanking sound when ran on the hose it goes in foward an
reverse an if you rev it up it goes away is this normal?

I know this is a stupid question, you said the foot went back on in fwd gear. What gear was it in when u took the foot off?

Neutral

I took it off in neutal and install back in foward
