Its me again, i just got the boat out of shop, they told me they found
gunk on the high pressure fuel pump screen. Cleaned it and say it runs good again. I have not tested it on the water yet. my question is they said it had a white gooey gunk on it. I have heard that this white gooey gunk is not good.
I have a aluminum tank and am wondering what causes it and how to remedy this problem. i do not feel safe heading out 60 miles in this condition. What do you think are my options? Does this mean tank replacement???? Just a fuel polishing?
THanks
Chris

Are you running a 10 micron Racor fuel filter? If not, you need to do this.

The ethanol fuel is causing lots of problems just like this. The VST filter is often the culprit when the Ox66 gives you problems. I wouldn't blame it on the Parker fuel tank as they probably use the same type of aluminum as most other manufacturers.
