Good afternoon all. Can anyone help me with converting my storage into a livewell. I know it isnt ideal to hold alot but would be better than nothing. Just bought a 05 2320 last night. Thank you in advance

Does your boat have an open or closed transom?

I just bought a 2120 and had the same thought. Then I looked at the new 2120 and saw the built-in live well. Hmmm.

Then, while at West Marine last night, I say this kit:

That got me wondering if I could just make my own version of the bait well built into the new models. I don't think it would be too hard and it would center the livewell.

This is what I did on my 2320.

Purchased a 40 gallon Moeller live well like this one for under $120.

Had my marina install a new 1100 gph pump in the bilge and the outlet is installed under the main transom storage. I keep the live well centrally located, still plenty of room to walk around. Has a couple of cup holders and the center can be used as a cutting board.

The plumbing parts for the live well I was able to purchase for under $30 locally, drilled the holes and install of all the connections was simple.
