I painted the deck on my 2005 2320 using interlock non skid paint. Over the years it now needs to be all removed. My question is - will a 2000 psi pressure washer remove the 3 coats of paint or do you think I’m going to need a paint remover? If so will paint remover harm the gel coat? I don’t want to spend the money to redo the deck yet. I may need a new gas tank and when they cut the floor out - I will do it then.

When you say - don’t ? You don’t know if power washer will do it ? Sanding ? Not ! I’m 65 with bad back- knees - just had surgery on my hand.

I stared power washing floor this fall. As you can see it did come off but it was peeling at that spot. I can prime it without taking it all off ?

I don’t know about pressure washing. Which tip?

Red 15 degree tip and pressure?

Might still need to be sanded before priming

Sorry about the health issues. I had both hips replaced.

Both hips. That’s one part of my body that doesn’t hurt. The more I think about redoing the deck, maybe I should just prime the spot that peeled and just repaint the deck. I know in a year or two I’m going to need a new gas tank. At that time I will redo the deck the correct way.

I called SeaDek to find out how much for a one piece rubber decking. That would be cool. I would need two sections at $400 each. Never paint again. Lol not spending all that $$$

Maybe a pole dry wall sander would work

I pulled the boat out early in October so I can clean and paint bottom so she would go in early but when I was power washing the Hull I power wash the deck and that’s when the paint lifted off the deck. I’m so piss off I did that. I would of been all read to launch in early April.
