Hello ... I'm looking for some advice on replacing the tube nut on the 3/8" line at my helm pump. I suspect it is the source of a leak, so I bought a spare and was planning on slipping the old one off and a new one on. Well, I can't budge the old one so I figured I would cut it off since there is plenty of slack. Can anyone tell me the best type of tool to use to cut the tubing? Does it need to be deburred after? I tried a razor knife and it barely put a dent in it, it is hard stuff. Also, is there a rule of thumb for how much to tighten the nut? Like finger tight plus 1 turn? Any advice is welcome, thanks.
