Just installed a transducer inside boat in a round PVC pipe. My instructions said to epoxy it in. Seem like a waste if I wanted to remove the transducer from epoxy. I put water in pipe and used flower clay to hold it down, works like a charm. Just a suggestion.

I second that suggestion! :D I just today finished a project to mount a 3D transducer array (roughly 3"X5" square) inside the hull in a "box" filled with seawater.

Works very slick. No epoxy on the transducer, and it's sitting out of harm's way in it's own cozy little water-box in the bilge.

I will post the project in the new electronics forum later on.
