Good day all- I have a winter project that I need to take care of before spring splash.Last year, I did away with my kicker motor due to lack of use.I now want to remove the bracket, which is a simple matter of 8 bolts. But as these bolts are thru the hull, they would need to be filled for water tightness. All holes are well above waterline. What is the best method to fill these holes?
Photos of existing bracket and bolts are attached.

Remove bracket....Run a drill bit slightly larger than the holes thru it to enlarge them. This will clean the holes. Countersink holes.

Fill with resign/cabisol mix. Inject it with a 90cc syringe. tape the back side of the hole. Tape around the holes on the outside very cleanly....So just the holes are taped.

That way when you wipe the excess away it's not smeared all over the clean gellcoat around the holes. Gelcoat when down.
