Having lots of issues with the two inspection ports on my deck. I am very concerned about water entry into the fuel tank area since I have already had to replace the tank due to corrosion. Several years ago i replaced the standard pry off lid type for the Tempress style screw in with gasket. After every trip and or deck wash down, I find significant water that has leaked into both openings. I have replaced cleaned and greased the o-rings and tried various degrees of snugging down the lids to no avail. Can anyone suggest a type that may be more water tight or do they all leak?
*Note: The boat is stored under a canvas cover and I leave the ports open between trips to encourage any water trapped in these areas to evaporate.
