Ahhh...Change it out to 316 series Stainless.

Tell us what size pump and hose.....Hose will be either a 3/4 or 1 1/8.

I can't find my link that I use to have on this...The link below does not say if they a 316 Stainless. 316 stainless is what you want on a boat....

Yes....You want that 90 deg....It helps in putting a loop in the system.

All my plastic's were changed....They have been known to sink boats.

Thanks for reply, this is just a drain hose for the transom storage compartments,no pump.the outlet/thru-hull fitting is above waterline,so no chance of sinking..
The boat is 100 miles from me, in a slip so I was hoping somebody could tell me exactly what I need, so next time I go to the boat we could have it on hand

90% chance that it’s 3/4” but I understand not wanting to guess. If you get it from West Marine it’s at least easily returned at any store, if usually a bit pricier.

I’d recommend replacing both fittings shown in the picture. If one is degraded to the point of breaking off, chances are the one right next to it is as well.

Change 'em all to 316 SS. There seriously is zero reason not to. The only reason the factory put plastic in there is to save a few pennies across hundreds of boats.

When I picked up my used 2005, it had been cooking in the So. Florida sun, all but abandoned. Everything rubber or plastic was pretty much toast. I brought the boat to a reputable yard and had them go through the fuel lines, electrical, engines, etc.. I said it looked like the thru-hulls looked suspect and they said, absolutely, after 12 years cooking in the sun they should all be replaced. I asked if they could get the same size plastic and they said, No, no, no... you're getting all new 316 stainless. The difference in cost between plastic and stainless was $60 for the entire boat.

The galley sink drain required removing the fridge to get at that thru-hull. All the others were easier to get to.
