Took out the factory seat and made this 5 draw fishing box and mounted the Capt. Chair. It's slides forward and back and turns 360. The foot rest is great and it's more storage. I had to make this due to my bad back. No more stepping down to cabin and climbing up the chair. I put my left foot on the seat ledge on left and right foot on foot rest and sit down.

That's a great modification! Extra storage and an easier way into and out of the seat.

I want to something similar to both of my helm seats.
Because my 2520 is an open-back, I would have the storage access for plano boxes facing aft.
Thinking rather than a seat at the helm, I'd do a leaning pad.

Someday.

Will standing up give you site over the bow? When I made the high of tackle box for the seat, if I was 1 inch to low I couldn't see over now. I don't get to sit there much. The kids watch DVD on screen. Lol
