Greetings,

Former Boston whaler owner here. I recently switched to the dark side and got a 2005 Parker 2120 with a brand new 2018 200 Suzuki. I recently put 9 hours onto the motor slaying some salmon.

Really enjoying the boat so far and looking forward to networking with fellow Parker owners. I mainly do ocean fishing out of the SF Bay Area. I am an 18 year LEO and a fishing addict.

Welcome to the forum and nice ride...

BTW as a former whaler owner myself, Parker is not the dark side!

Welcome to CP and congrats on your new 2120. I think the 2120’s are great but I’m partial . It looks like you got a nice one. I like that 200 Suzuki, it should be a good power/weight match. Good luck with her.

Choman,

I am thinking of repowering my '08 2120 SC Yam 150 4S to either a 200 or 225. I too fish out of N CA but out of Tomales Bay. Am looking for your feedback on weight/power/mpg and overall performance/reliability. I have been very satisfied with the Yam so far but looking for more power since I do go offshore often.

Any comments from you or anyone else that has repowered higher, would be appreciated.

Mahalo,

Vern

Hey Vern,

A friend of mine has a 2120 and his opinion is the 200 is barely sufficient and the 150 poor-Fair... go 225!
