Painting Transducer.

hi Guy's. Quick question for you.

I put on a new transducer and I picked up some transducer paint. The directions say to sand lightly and paint in the same direction as sanding. My question is do you sand and paint the bottom of the transducer where it transmit from? It just doesn't sound like a good idea to me as far as sanding that part.

Wet sand it with 220 or higher, just enough to get the paint to stick.

Yup , and FWIW, I paint the rest of it and whatever cord is in the water withmy usual hull bottom paint.
