A spot came open on the Dreamer so I decided to give Nostrovia a break and go out with my son Matt and some new friends who turned out to be a great bunch of guys.
The WSB were wide open for 30 minutes and Matt nailed 3. A couple were tanker models.
I had what I thought was a record croaker that took me around the boat a few times before we got color. That's when we saw it was a a yellow. Measured (give or take) 44# on a spring type scale.
I also had a Black Sea Bass that musta been 50#. As soon as we saw what it was, we cut the line never having him leave the water.
We were at Cat but I can't give you the EXACT spot out of respect for Capt Allyn.
I think we totaled 6 WSB, 2 Yellowtail, 1 very legal Butt, 2 Sheepshead, and about 30 Calico.
Nostrovia,
Dave
