Pitted aluminum window frames.

The inside off all my window frames are pitted like the one pictured.
I would like to clean up the appearance of these and help protect them from pitting more.
What can be done with these, any suggestions?

Ours were pitted when we bought the boat. Used this and they came out well. Keep in mind you can remove the anodized finish if you get to aggressive polishing or with the bronze wool. You will never be able to remove the pits, but this stuff has stopped any further pitting.
