Does anyone out there have the same problem I do? I have the notched transom and every time I pull the hose and wash the boat or drag a fish in it scars the fiberglass lip of the transom. I am having a piece of 1" stainless polished tubing bent to go over the notch in two pieces, one for each side. This way the motor will not have to come off. My friend is going to bend it too the contour and the cut it out from the bottom. I will fill it with 3M 5200 and slide it over the transom lip.
This is the only part of the boat IMHO needs a little better trimming from the factory. Maybe “Robin” is listening? I will post pictures once complete (Soon I Hope) If anyone has tried something like this I would love to see /read your ideas.

Rather than attaching the tubing directly to the transom, would it be possible for your fabricator to fashion a rail across the opening?

A good fabricator can do wonders when given an idea or two.
