We finally found the old drum! Went to three different spots starting at about 5PM After an hour at the 3rd spot, about 11PM, I was ready to throw in the towel. But then the moon came up and bam!...it was on. Caught a 42", a 43", lost two, and a 5th one snapped off. Must have been a real monster and I think the drag was too tight. There was so much pressure on the rod, my buddy could hardly get it out of the holder, and then it broke off. Went in about 1:30 AM. I was too beat to get up for the trout this morning.
