We recently re-powered our 2003 2120SCDV, Mokee Dugway, with the new 4 cyl Yamaha F200XB. The motor uses the original rigging, so we only needed the component that allows use of the existing tach. The motor was hung on the highest hole. Inititially, we re-used the 3x14.25x16 prop from the 150 hpdi, but later went with a Reliance 3x14.5x15 prop. Here are some numbers for folks that are interested. We tested with 2 adults on board, approx. 60 gal of gas and the usual gear aboard we use when traveling with the boat

At WOT the 14.25x16 prop saw 39 mph at 5600 rpm. The boat seemed to to struggle to get on plane and felt stern heavy.

We tested the 14.5X15 Reliance prop 3 times so far. WOT ranged 5700- 5900 rpm at 41.4 - 41.7 mph. Conditions ranged from flat calm to 5 mph tail and head wind. The boat jumps up on plane compared with the original prop, does 26.7 mph at 4000 rpm and 30 mph at 4300 rpm.

I am very pleased so far and want to thank Andy at SIM for all the help!

Can you let us know what your previous outboard was and the numbers you saw with it...I'm considering the new 200s VS Suzuki 175 twins...

Switch to a PowerTech 4-blade prop and you'll improve cruise speed and hole shot ...

The previous motor was a 2003 ZTXR150 (HPDI). WOT was 5300rpm at 37mph running a 3X14.25X16 prop. We cruised at 4000rpm at 24-27mph depending on conditions. We raised the motor 2 holes from where it was set at the factory. The F200-XB runs quieter and planes quicker.
