I just purchased a pre owned Parker 2520 XL and am now an "official" Parker owner. One or two of the numbers are peeling off. I want to take the numbers and decals off of the pilot house and put new ones on the bow. What is the best way to remove the numbers and decals?

Heat gun, patience and a little denatured alcohol. You can through in some consumable alcohol too. :D :D

WD 40 will work great on the glue of the decals. It loosens them up very quickly. Plus add a little heat from a hair dryer and they will peel right off.

Hair dryer/heat gun and plastic putty-knife. Acetone will also remove them. If you use acetone, ensure you use rubber gloves designed to handle aggressive solvents, and do it outside in plenty of fresh air.

If you use WD-40 (or any other petroleum solvent), you will need to wipe/clean the surface with acetone, otherwise the new decals won't stay put.
