I do not do a lot of fishing, more cruising but like the Parker PH, what kind of gas milleage can per hour can I expect. Upper Chesapeake Bay to Middle Chesapeake Bay, usually 1' chops. I do not run fast cruising range 15-23 knots. I think that I should go with 250hp Yammie instead of 225 hp (? do you think). Thanks the trashman

Have you tried the Yamaha site performance bulletins. I have the 2120 with a F150 and have found my actual performance running in 1-2 foot chop to be very close to what the bulletin indicated.

Here is what I got at cruise in San Diego bay with a 2 foot wind chop.
With Yamaha F-250 2006 2320 DV

Hope this helps and good luck !!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to occasionally take photos of my instruments. :)

I would definitely opt for the F250, a lot more ponies and better resale for not much extra $.

From my experience with the F250, I would say that you will be in the 2.5 mpg neighborhood at cruise in relatively calm conditions. My mileage gets up over 4 mpg idling in gear and down as low as 1.5 mpg plowing into a head sea.
