I want to add 2 thru hull fittings to our 1999 MV 2520 we are putting together, one for a wash down and one for a live well. Where is the best location to insure water will be picked up while under way? Was thinking bottom of boat near the center at the transom. Any of you guys have experience either adding thru hulls or know where the factory places them? Thanks

Do NOT install 2. Totally unnecessary.

Inst all 1 on Port side. Use RULE Dual Port Livewell Pump.

Do Not use SureFlow.......aka No Flow. All boat manufactures use SureFlow....They last 2yrs Max!

Depending on the size of your Livewell.... is what size Livewell pump you will need.

Next is the Washdown. The Top Dog is Jabsco Parmax HotShot. They are made in 5,6 & 7GPM @ 70psi. I usually install the 6GPM. Beware....If your planning on using some factory wiring..It's probably not heavy enough.

YES......You can run both pumps at the same time.

Another suggestion:

Place the ON/OFF switch for the Washdown under the aft Port washboard.

Why?

No need to have Long runs of wiring from helm to ass end of boat.
Deckhand does not need to bother Captain to turn pump on while boat is underway to next fishing spot to clean the deck. He can turn it Off/On himself and clean up the mess.
