Thru hull transducer

When I purchased my '04 2520XL Iwas told by the dealer that you can't use a thru hull on Parkers. Is this true?

You can use a shoot thru or thru hull transducer on any Parker.

Not true at all.

Take a look at the left side of this photo.
That is an Airmar 'tilted element' through-hull transducer hooked to a Furuno FCV600L.

I used a shoot thru on my 2120SC with great success. I was always amazed that I got a good picture even at speed.
