What's up Parker fam...? I'm looking into a new trailer to take my rig from NJ to Florida next winter. I for the life of me can't find any detailed info on how much my 1999 2300 DVCC weighs. I thought I remember seeing it a long time ago in a yamaha performance bulletin something like 3400 lbs dry?? Anyway I'm looking for trailer recommendations as to the size needed - pretty sure I'm going with Load RIte Elite is 6700 enough? Next stop would be 8400 (there is a 7300 in between but its like 100 bucks less than the 8400 soo...
Thoughts? Where can I find my boats specs?

Thanks!!
Ralph

There are some threads here on this topic if you search.

I have not weighted mine but my guess is 7000-7500 with fuel and some gear aboard (I have a custom fiberglass t-top, radar, carry a life raft, etc.).

I say that 8400 carrying capacity is the right choice. You want six lug hubs and 5200 pound axles. I suggest 16 inch wheels since you can then use light truck tires if you want. I also suggest full stainless brakes with an EOH actuator. All more expensive initially but will save money and aggravation in the long run.

My own trailer is a Rolls Axle with 5200 pound axles and six lug hubs with 16 inch tires to give a carrying capacity of 8600.

I just weighed my F250 (omg that's heavy) and 2320, with a 7300 pound load rite elite. Boat and trailer combined were 7000 pounds. Based on decal, trailer weighs 1460? Seems high. So 7000-1460= 5540 for boat with 1/2 tank of gas and 100 pounds of stuff.
