After finally getting my boat back from a problematic mechanic (see earlier post of a month ago), I dropped it off to an Amish woodworker down the road in order to have the "wood" redone. They stripped all the old/cracked wood and replaced it with starboard. I had them rebuild the two cabinet doors (and shelves), along with the main door into the cuddy (louvered), install new corner molding, a new cuddy hatch and clean up the piss poor trim/frame job the previous guy did with the new tackle box that was installed in the boxout for a head unit.

All in all - since we picked this thing up back in May of 2009, we've done the following (either sent off or in house):

Last summer:
1) Overhauled the trailer with new wheels/bearings/hubs, brake lights/wiring, and galvanized paint.
2) Had a hardtop installed with rocket launchers/deck lights.
3) Filled in all the nicks/holes on the gel coat (well most) left by the previous owners.
4) Buffed off all the old haze/chalking on the gelcoat. Polished all the steel rail. Repaired bow rail.
5) New anchor and latch.
6) New captain's chairs.
7) New folding bench seat with latches to deck.
8) New FF/Depth/GPS unit (Garmin)
9) New Parker logos/pin striping

January-March 2011:
1) Had the engine baselined (no previous recorded maintenance).
2) New gauges installed.
3) New bilge pump up front (to replace broken one).
4) Pumps hardwired to battery.
5) Painted windshield frame (pitted, beat up, etc).
6) Fixed rub rail (two bad spots). Restored the rubber.
7) Removed head unit, installed tackle box locking cabinet.
8) New horn (old one was crapped out).
9) New bunk guides (shorties on the back end to square up boat).
10) New radio/speakers.

March 2011:
1) Purchased new hauler (2011 Silverado 2500 HD desiel) ..... in case I want to get a bigger boat of course.

April 2011:
1) Replaced all wood trim/doors/shelves with black starboard.
2) Framed out previously installed locking tackle box cabinet.
3) Named the boat (thanks "TomS!"
4) Removed faded engine stickers, cleaned up cover and installed new Evinrude stickers.
5) Mounted battery tender inside battery hatch.

This month:
1) Frame out rails and install "bed deck" inside cuddy cabin (with left over 3/4" starboard).
2) Stop working on it ............... and use it.

I wish I had more before/after shots but I didn't do much with my camera before. I did take some recent shots because I am VERY happy with how the starboard work turned out. Here you go:

Future plans:
1) Redo helm station (either replace or overlay with 1/4 starboard).
2) Either remove bottom paint/buff clean or sand down and replace paint.
3) New cushions in cuddy.
4) Redo hatch covers over battery and oil compartments.
5) Update cuddy interior somehow (hide wires, lighting, etc).

Wow... you have done an outstanding job of bringing that old girl back!
The 2110 is a true Classic Parker and you can be very proud of all your hard work.
What kind of numbers do you get from that 225? That thing ought to fly!

Edit: moved to the Project section so you can update as needed.

Thanks.

The 225 definately gets the boat moving .... especially for how heavy she is/feels. Prior to the hard top, best I saw was 45 mph with a pretty full load and trimmed out. With the hard top, I've seen 42 with a couple blips at 43 mph. That's with 3 adults (295lbs, 275lbs, 210lbs) and a full tank of gas.

Now that we've baselined and tuned up the motor (replaced a couple components), she fires up quick and firm. No more fiddling around trying to coax her into a start.

Nice job with all of the upgrades. I also have a 2110, 2000 year model which I purchased last year and love it. Been thinking about putting in a radio and I like how you made the compartment for it. Seems like a nice way to mount it without cutting any large holes anywhere permanent.

What did you use to buff out the oxidation on the gelcoat? It looks really good.
