    Seafoam motor treatment? Or Stabil?

I had a 2003 150 HPDI. My home port is in a "special EPA zone." Straight gas isn't available at the pump here. After injector problems and changing fuel filters on the water a number of times, I bit the bullet and bought an F200 inline four that's been an improvement in speed, torque and...

Prop for new in line 4 200Hp for 2120

Here's more info. I bought the motor and prop from SIM. I checked correspondence with them and came up with this from an email. "With 2 adults, 75 gal. gas and calm with no wind. Here's the ranges of how it performed. Top Speed at WOT = 40.2-41.7 mph SOG by GPS WOT = 5700 RPM Time to cruise...

    Truck advise

Congrats warthog5! Andy at SIM has a 2013 EB and said he loved it the last time I talked to him. My dealer ordered one for me despite me telling 'em I was happy with my '10 SCREW with max tow and the 5.4. Its supposed to be in Monday. I looked at a RAM 1500 diesel, but thought it spec'd a...

    Truck advise

Capt. Kevin's gave good advice about trailer setup, as it makes for better equipment and tire life, easier driving and helps maximize safety. I'm a huge believer in paying attention to this part of towing anything, including my boats. For the use you describe, I'd want a 20% margin respecting...

    repower 2120

x3...the F200XB has it all over my '03 150 HPDI tho louder at cruise. Used the original gauges and saved on rigging. Scuppers are high and dry as shown in pic.

    repower

Kevin said, I agree. Here's my perspective. I went from a Yammi 150 hpdi to the inline 4 cylinder, F-200XB (same or better low end performance with way better mid-range and top end performance), but I've never run an Opti and the motor isn't on a bracket. Just curious, does the bracket effect...

RPM's and Cruising speed on 2120 PH

My 2120 with a F-200XB spinning a 3x14.5x15 at 6000 rpm hits 43 mph with a full tank and 4 people. Cruise at 4,000rpm clocks 27-28 mph SOG according to GPS.

    Re-power with new F200XB

The previous motor was a 2003 ZTXR150 (HPDI). WOT was 5300rpm at 37mph running a 3X14.25X16 prop. We cruised at 4000rpm at 24-27mph depending on conditions. We raised the motor 2 holes from where it was set at the factory. The F200-XB runs quieter and planes quicker.

    Parker Sandwich

Personally, the most boat I'd be willing to drag around the country is a 2320. IMO a 2520 would be OK for short tows from storage to splash and back. The Polar Cub should cool the pilothouse helm area OK. I don't know about the v-berth tho.

fighterpilot - when using the Honda, it sits on a rubber pad on top of the port jump seat/battery locker. A piece of starboard just a bit larger is attached to the lid. Wiring for the A/C runs under the port washboard. You can see plug end of the wiring in the photo. We don't have an auxiliary...
