Just over 50 miles, fishing SoCal offshore banks. I'm in a 2520 XLD. I agree with the previous comment on carrying an EPIRB and having a float plan, so family/friends knows where to look if overdue.
On my 2520xld I use wine corks to plug the fish box drains. Try to keep a much ice stored in a large ice chest. Some kept in the fish box with a little bit of salt water added. I find it keeps fish very well. Extra space if you pull the drop in boxes from each end. As you add fish, cover with...
I can't imagine buying that Grady White and seeing the butcher job they did in those photos. I definitely would not be following through on that purchase!!
I bought a set of the 9 inch brackets for my 2520 xld. Excellent design and craftsmanship. Far better than the stock factory bracket.
I highly recommend them.
Steele rubber products makes rubber molding for cars, trucks, rvs etc. I have used them for several classic cars. Good prices and products.

I had a 2180 Bay Ranger with a 225 E-Tec, before I traded it for my 2520 XLD with twin 200 yams. I absolutely loved that E-Tec. They are awesome, and they have very good fuel economy. I don't know if they are still offering it, but when I bought mine (E-tec) in '05 it came with a 7 year...
I have the Pacific Edge bait system on my boat and the nice thing with these tanks is the ability to run them half full. You can cut down on the weight very easily if you don't need the entire capacity. But for those long multi-day trips you can carry plenty of bait AND keep it healthy.
I had an E-tec on my 2180 Bay Ranger. I absolutely loved that motor. I still wish Parker would use them. The get better fuel economy than the Yam's and are not that much louder.
I just bought my 2520 with twin 200's early summer, last year. We made a ton of outings, the furthest was probably 30 miles. Took her to Catalina once as well. Some of the trips were in pretty rough water and I never even broke a sweat. This year I'll be going much further out. These boats...
Not to be a kill joy.....But the whole purpose of having secondary numbers is to protect us, the boat owners, when our boats are stolen and HIN switched. Just like the VIN numbers on cars, those numbers are confidential and should not be given out to the public. By doing so, you are only...
Has anyone tried to insulate the fish box on the 2520 XLD? On the '07 model it is uninsulated. Is there any products out there, such as an adhesive material that provides insulation properties? looking for any good ideas that will work. thanks
I bought from Sundance Marine in San Diego and could not have been happier with the deal. Additionally they have continued to provide exceptional service whenever I go in to the dealership. I have heard some bad mouthing of this dealership, however I recommend them highly! I am not alone in...
