I have a 2520 and use the roll control system. Unfortunately I dont have any pictures... I mounted the rails along the gunnels, starting 6 inches from the pilothouse, running 4' to the rear. Each side holds four tanks and very secure. Weight balance is also very good. I am very happy with this...

Good point... Even though the mounting may be different I can tell you that having the bimini, with those rough dimensions, works out very well with family. You can relax out of the sun, but still step behind it to cast. It has been a lifesaver on a hot day! I am sure you will be glad you did it.

I did the same basic thing for a bimini on my 2520 about ten years ago. The location, height, distance from the seats, etc. is virtually identical to your plan. I bought the bimini complete with poles and it was the correct size, off ebay. When not in use I collapse it, put the boot around it...

mrGeeze, For what it is worth, I have the same hull and model year as you do. I have a Mariner Optimax 200 (98') and it is plenty of power. I cruise at 28mph, 4200 rpms, and it is very efficient. I regulary run 30 - 40 miles round trip on 1/2 tank gas. I cannot comment on a newer 4 stroke, but...

I agree with Megabyte 100%. It performed great on my old Chris Craft cuddy WA buit not so good on my MV Parker. Mine is only a single OB on the transom so your might be different. Jon
